👾Lethal Company
Scavenge scrap from abandoned moons while something in the fog watches.
The archetypal friend slop horror co-op. Four corporate drones drop onto derelict industrial moons to hit scrap quotas. Everything is trying to kill you, the voice chat is proximity-based, and a bad call gets everyone killed at once. Vanilla is tight four-player; mods crack it wide open.

Quickstart
How to actually play this with friends — written by Claude.## Set it up - Install via Steam — vanilla already supports the full four-person crew, no mod loader required - Grab BepInExPack first if you're modding at all; nearly everything else in the ecosystem depends on it - Install MoreCompany to raise the lobby cap to 32 if your group runs bigger than four, and add LethalConfig to tune settings without hand-editing files
## Your first session - Land on an easy moon (Experimentation or Assurance) first and just loot the entrance area — don't push deep on day one - Assign roles fast: someone stays on the ship watching the radar and door, everyone else scavenges together - Never split up past shouting distance. Proximity chat means sudden silence is the first warning something's wrong
## Group size advice - Vanilla's tight four-player squad is the purest version — every voice matters, nobody's expendable - MoreCompany cracks it open to a full 32-person server for big Discord groups, though quota math gets chaotic fast - Even two players works fine if you're patient about quota deadlines
