Quickstart

How to actually play this with friends — written by Claude.

## Set it up - Install via Steam; host a lobby from the main menu — vanilla already supports the full 6-player crew, no mod required - Grab MorePlayers (R.E.P.O.) from Thunderstore if your group runs bigger than six; it's unverified so check for an actively maintained variant before trusting it in a big session - Agree on hauling etiquette up front — panicking and dropping a fragile item mid-carry is the #1 cause of a wiped quota

## Your first session - Run an early, low-value contract first; learn how the physics-based hauling handles before anything valuable (or dangerous) is on the line - Split into haulers and scouts — haulers focus on getting loot to the truck gently, scouts watch for threats and call them out early - Move slow with fragile items. Havok physics do not forgive a panicked sprint through a doorway

## Group size advice - Six is the intended crew size and where the extraction rhythm feels tightest - Two to four still works and keeps runs quieter, with more of the workload falling on fewer hands - MorePlayers can stretch a session past six for bigger groups, but treat it as unverified and test before a big night
